Revolutionary heated vents fit to both new and existing DVS ventilation systems
Here at last, a unique and revolutionary new way to cost-effectively warm the air that the DVS ventilation system brings into your home! Called the Tempervent, this ingenious new device features a low-wattage heating element that can be fitted to any or all of your existing ceiling vents. The result? Cost-effectively pre-warmed air that you can target into the rooms of your choice.
If you’re already the proud owner of a Classic DVS Ventilation System, you’ll probably be enjoying the free, warm air that comes into your home from the roof space on a sunny day (even in the winter). But what about at night-time, or on a cold, sunless day?
Fitting an Air-Warmer to the ducting in your roof space has always been an option, but with a 2Kw heating element and little flexibility over which rooms get the heat, we needed to find a better way. And now we have!
Not only will Tempervents improve the performance of your Classic DVS ventilation system (if indoor temperatures are not maintained at reasonable levels, normal levels of moisture inside the home will cool and result in condensation), you’ll also need less direct heating to achieve a comfortable living environment. And that’s got to be good for your pocket rather than the power company’s!
Especially when you consider how energy-efficient Tempervents are to run; even with four Tempervents in operation at 350w each, you’ll save at least 30% on power consumption when compared with a 2Kw Air-Warmer. And obviously the savings will be even greater if you install fewer than four Tempervents, or if you choose to run them only in specific rooms as you need them. An optional wireless remote control can be used to switch Tempervents on and off individually.
Because the Tempervent element fits directly above your diffuser, no insulated ducting is required. Tempervents can be fitted to a DVS 5E and DVS G3: with a DVS G3, you can run your Tempervents straight off the LCD touch screen, while a DVS 5E will require the addition of a timer. They can also be fitted to earlier DVS models such as the Climate-Controlled DVS 1 or 5 by adding a timer and interface unit. The cost of fitting a Tempervent starts at around $550 but is dependent on your ventilation system and your requirements.
